Please join us tonight in a united effort by local performers to raise relief funds for Haiti. Proceeds from the evening will go to Doctors Without Borders. Mostly Dylan, Frank Olivier, Mark Pitta and special guests and Bungalow 44 have come together to reach out and help in the midst of the enormous tragedy that has hit Haiti.
The first half of the evening will feature Mark Pitta and some of his special friends including Frank Olivier. Mark Pitta headlines a weekly night of comedy every Tuesday at 142 - Mark Pitta & Friends. After a successful headlining career, Pitta plays host to up-and-coming comics, as well as legendary headliners. Frank Olivier has been performing professionally for 20 years, and perfecting his craft since age 11. Raised in a small country near San Francisco called 'Berkeley' (home of the 'Uni-Bomber'), the self taught Frank was soon a regular on SF television, playing with a small circus, and honing his technical skills.
The second half of the evening will feature the incredibly talented group Mostly Dylan. Mostly Dylan is the collaboration of local musicians Tim Hockenberry and Tom Corwin to bring new perspectives to the indelible music of Bob Dylan. The band features some of the Bay Area's best - Tim Hockenberry, vocals, keys, trumpet Tom Corwin, bass (Bonnie Raitt, Patti LaBelle) Tal Morris, guitar (Huey Lewis, Creedence Clearwater Revisited) Gawain Mathews, guitar (Ben Lee, Tony Furtado) David Tucker, drums (John Lee Hooker, Maria Muldaur)
