Heartlanguage is a hot new band on the rise, vibrantly showcasing the beauty of human diversity in its on-stage delivery. The message is convincingly wrapped in multiple textures of powerful and well-crafted sound, underlined by soul searching and heart-reaching lyricism. The band refers to its all-original new music style as RAZZ — "rock 'n jazz."

This is not your average band! Not in size (16 pieces), sound (they call it Razz), or material (all originals). A cover song to describe this group could be We Are the World. “We like to think we represent the Bay Area, the American Dream- in fact, the planet”, says Founder Steven Bernard, “and we have the DNA to prove it!” he adds with a laugh.
“We are Red, White, Black, Yellow, and Brown, getting’ down!”
The musical backgrounds of Heartlanguage’s members are as diverse as the people making up this ensemble. “Our primary goal is to make good music, with good songs
as the foundation that we collaboratively build our sound around”, says Bernard. “This is a highly talented ensemble- each individual contributes something good that makes the Whole great. We call what we do “Razz”-the easily identifiable genres we blend are Rock, R&B, Jazz-and more. I like to think our music sounds like the planet looks to the astronaut going up-borders fade away, and something newly beautiful becomes evident.”
Driven by the “heartbeat” of a four man percussion section, led by four singers in perfect harmony, supported by superb guitarists and keys, enhanced by a three-part horn section, masterfully woven together with a 6 string bass, enriched by thoughtful lyricism, and presented with a human family spirit that can be felt, this band is designed to make the heart soar!

Heartlanguage is committed to making a tangible difference, as well as inspire. With commitment to give a portion from each performance to a chosen Non-profit in each county, Heartlanguage brings its focus locally to Homeward Bound of Marin. Since 1974, this Organization has worked tirelessly to give shelter, job education, and other assistance, to otherwise forgotten thousands in Marin County.
Special guest to be introduced at this concert, will be Paul Fordham, Deputy Director of
Homeward Bound. (www.hbom.com)
