The Oakland Jazz Choir, a vocal ensemble of 13, brings exquisite vocal jazz harmonies and solo cameos to audiences throughout the Bay Area and beyond. Tonight, the choir will present an eclectic mix of interesting arrangements of songs by Pat Metheny, Dizzy Gillespie, Cole Porter, Chick Corea, George Gershwin, Bobby McFerrin, Brian Wilson (yes, of the Beach Boys) and more. The choir is accompanied by Walter Bankovitch on piano, Fred Randolph on bass and Greg German on drums.
