Box Office

INFORMATION

We do not issue paper tickets; your tickets will be available at Will Call on the night of the show. The Box Office staff are present approximately one hour prior to shows and through intermission. If you are stopping by to purchase tickets to a future show we may ask you to wait until we have handled the current show’s audience. Our Box Office staff can be reached via email at BoxOffice@142ThrockmortonTheatre.org or our phone number is 415.383.9600. Please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as we can - or email us and will respond to that. Our Box Office does not have regular open hours during the day.

NOTE: Our ticketing platform does not currently accept American Express cards.

  • If tickets are still available, they will go on sale at the door one hour before showtime on a first-come, first-served basis; ticket limits may apply. We take cash, credit cards and mobile wallets at the door.

On our online ticket system, Reserved tickets are removed from sale on the day of a show, and General Admission tickets are removed from sale a couple of hours before a show, to facilitate Box Office tasks. This does NOT mean the show is sold out. Tickets may be available on the door, from one hour before showtime, unless the show is sold out. Please call Box Office at 415.383.9600 to check availability.

  • If a show is sold out we will start a waitlist for returns up to 1 hour before showtime. You must be present to get on the waitlist.

  • GENERAL SEATING

Our shows are seated shows unless otherwise indicated on the event and ticketing page. Our performances begin promptly. Patrons who arrive late will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager.

    RESERVED SEATING
Reserved seating is generally closest to the stage, front and center. If you have purchased a reserved seat and wish to request a specific location, please call (415) 383-9600 during office hours to make the request or email BoxOffice@142ThrockmortonTheatre.org. We cannot always guarantee a specific seat but will seat you as close as possible to your request.

  • Refunds are only given if an event is canceled. No refunds can be made on ticket purchases. (You may donate your tickets a minimum of 24 hours prior to the show and receive a donation receipt for tax purposes. See below.)

  • When you can’t use your tickets, please consider donating them back to the Box Office. We can then re-sell your seats and you’ll get a donation receipt for tax purposes. To donate your tickets you may call the Box Office at (415) 383-9600 a minimum of 24 hours prior to the performance.

  • We do not issue paper tickets, so if you cannot locate your ticket confirmation, all we usually need is a photo ID to retrieve your tickets in our system.

  • SENIORS

Discounted tickets are sometimes available for seniors 65-plus with ID; select the SENIORS TICKET PRICE on our ticketing platform when available.

    GROUPS

Groups of 10 or more receive Reserved Seating for the price of General Admission. We will usually apply this benefit automatically when we are seating the show, but to be sure, please email BoxOffice@142throckmortontheatre.org after purchasing your 10-plus General Admission tickets.

    YOUTH

Discounted tickets are often available for children and full-time students with student ID; select the YOUTH TICKET PRICE on our ticketing platform when available.

    TICKET ACCESS

We do not want anyone to be unable to see a show due to inability to pay; we have a limited number of reduced price or free tickets available for anyone with financial hardship; please email boxoffice@142throckmortontheatre.org for more information.

  • Theatre gift certificates make a great gift! You may purchase gift certificates that can be redeemed for ticket purchase to any of our ticketed shows. Gift certificates do not expire. To purchase a gift certificate call the Box Office on 415.383.9600 or email BoxOffice@142throckmortontheatre.org.

  • Do not attend performance if you are feeling ill or experiencing COVID-like symptoms in any way, have had a known exposure to COVID in the last 5 days (must test negative on Day 5 of exposure) OR have had COVID in the last 10 days and are still testing positive with an Antigen Test.

From time to time, audience members may be required or strongly encouraged to wear a mask indoors, or show proof of vaccination.

  • Our venue is an accessible venue. ADA seating is available for all shows on the ground floor with no stairs. Please call our Box Office at 415-383-9600 or email boxoffice@142throckmortontheatre.org if you wish to request specific accommodations. We will do whatever we can to accommodate you in the best way possible.

We offer streaming tickets for many shows, for patrons unable to visit the theatre in person. See our individual show ticket pages for more information.
